The first phase of the Project Lifecycle is called Initiation. This is where project objectives are established. Deciding how the project will function is important as other solutions will be recommended. It would be wise to run an assessment to ensure that each idea is relevant to the objective of the project. Questions like ‘Is this possible?’ and ‘Is there another way forward?’ are asked and considered on a regular basis. They are answered when the team is happy with the decision they have made. When the idea has been accepted, the project manager is chosen, and the established idea is sent. Project groups are identified, and the team makes its first move. The team is then assigned to the next phase of the project which is the Planning phase.
