That’s why I recommend using WordPress to build your website.
WordPress with HTML and CSS: It takes more than 6 months to learn HTML from scratch, not to mention CSS and PHP. Mastering the basics of HTML can help you evaluate things faster, but if you want to create a website in a day or two, learning HTML is not a viable option.
WordPress and website builders: Website builders are expensive and often very limited. They apply to single-page websites, but not more.
WordPress and Joomla / Drupal: Drupal is a very powerful platform that is popular with web developers and experienced coders, but with a very steep learning curve, making beginners a bad choice. Joomla is similar to WordPress and works in online stores, but you need at least some technical coding to make it work the way you want.
If you want to know more details, I will make a comprehensive comparison between WordPress, Joomla and Drupal.
If for some reason you don’t want to build your site using WordPress, check out my Drupal, Joomla and HTML5 guides. They are all free to use.
For beginners, I highly recommend sticking with WordPress.
This is the easiest platform I have ever used, but it is flexible enough for everyone from small business owners and freelancers to creative artists and bloggers.
